Franciacorta district

The company Castello di Gussago la Santissima was founded in 2005 and owns 20 ha. It is located in Gussago in Franciacorta.

The grapes of each vineyard are harvested by hand and vinified separately so that each peculiarity is preserved and exalted in the true expression of our territory. The company's philosophy aims to respect the characteristics of the grapes, enhancing and preserving their quality, guaranteeing a conservative oenology aimed at enhancing the natural characteristics of the grapes produced and respecting the combination of vine and environment. The company produces several Franciacorta DOCG classic method: (Rosé based Pinot Noir, Satèn based Chardonnay and vintage wines).

It will host experiments on late winter pruning managed by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Piacenza, with the aim of postponing bud break, avoiding damage from spring frosts and achieving greater freshness of the grapes if the initial phenological delay is extended to maturity.
