Define in an objective way the concept of “emergency irrigation” based of the physiology of the vine and on the phenological phase and definition of the guidelines on the application of this type of practice also linked to the definition of a decision support system related to the irrigation of the vine
Second year
Identification of the organizational procedures for a multifunctional irrigation implementation that allows to counteract the negative effects, on quality and yield, due to the more and more frequent heat waves
Third year
A decision support system specifically calibrated on the water management problem able to provide reliable and quick “allarms” with regard to intervention threshold and irrigation volume based on the objective (stress management, irrigation to optimize the grape quality, climatization effect)
